This blog is a couple of months old now and traffic us up! Nothing earth shattering, but there is a group of you who visit often, and who have subscribed to the RSS feed. The network technology, the foundation of this blog, is settling in nicely. The list of things to do on the site is always long, but the basic plumbing is in place. I have started to relocate this blog’s companion site, www.frame-of-reference.com, from its current home to the hosting provider that I use for this blog. The relocation plan includes converting the code base over to the same tools used for this blog. The goal is to increase the efficiency of content publication and maintenance. I will make an announcement in this forum when the move is complete.

To date, this is the content that has been created on the blog

  • More Than One Solution Strategy
  • Brainstorm Your Problems Into Solution
  • A Solution-Strategy Approach to Problem Solving
  • Can The Scientific Method Solve Business Problems?
  • New Approaches to Problems
  • What Is The Main Concept, And How Does It Get Started?
  • Solution-Strategies
  • Frame of Reference

These topics will be revisited later for a more in-depth exploration.

You will also notice book images at the end of each page, post, and the content section on the right hand side of the screen. The links will connect you to my favorite bookstore where you can purchase them for your reading pleasure, or to give to people you care about. The books are related – either directly, indirectly, or not at all – to the topic of the page or post. These are books that I have enjoyed reading in the past that I think will enrich the intellectual context for the study of solution strategies. This is my way to use as light a touch as possible with commercializing the Frame of Reference blog. I need to defray the costs of operating the blog, but want to do it in a way that does not create a distraction. So here is my pitch. Please consider buying items behind the links to help support this blog.

As the technology piece settles, my attention will shift to content creation. I plan to release several sets of articles on two advanced solution strategies. I am contacting providers of solutions based on these two solution-strategies to gauge their level of interest in this forum. Depending on how they perceive the Frame of Reference blog, and its purpose of facilitating awareness of the solution-strategy space, good things could happen for everyone involved.

I appreciate your interest in solution-strategies. Through a better understanding of how we solve problems, we become better problem solvers. The goal is to make problem-solving techniques that are obvious to some of us obvious to all of us. We all benefit from the impact of more effective problem-solving.

Please visit often, or subscribe to the RSS feed.
